Busniess with EclipseRsT

Ok im just wondering if anyone else might think this is odd. It took Eclipse Rst roughly 3 weeks to pull a tranny because the first one broke. then he finally sends it out, and its been 2 weeks since he sent it out. Ok proper busniess ideas start from the top. Communication.. this guy will not talk unless you talk to him first.... giving the customer all needed info, a simple tracking # on the shipment so i can give it to my show so they know what to expect... and the fact that i have not heard one excuss and i am still w/o wheels. Now comming to you people, what would you do? or what should i expect? (hope for the best, expect the worst) or just depend on him to come through?

I don't think Jake would screw you. Just wait a little longer and try to get in touch with him. I've heard he's kinda busy right now.

Yeah, Jake has apparently been very busy lately. But still, he should have gotten it to you within 5 weeks of receiving the money for it. Keep calling him, pm'ing him, and emailing him. It may have slipped through the cracks, but I doubt he's trying to scam you ;).

only resaon why i post it, is because when i sent the money i assumed id have a car before the thanksgiving break. so here i am stuck at college with out a tranny or even a date to expect it. and i know ups doesnt take 2 weeks to ship anything. its just little scary, guy gets his cell turned off, cant give you a date of arrival, or tracking #...... not looking good for me.

if the transmission is over 150lbs ups won't ship it anyways. maybe he has to send it by truck and not ups. just be patient, he's a very busy guy and if you don't want to do that, then talk to him personally, don't start a whole thread over it, that just makes him look bad even if he isn't.

Why would you take any important business (like a TRANNY per say) when you know you arent gonna have time to get on it right away...I bet you wont buy anything from RST again, and personally, if I couldnt get in contact with him and it SEEMED as if I were getting shafted I would make a thread too. If I spent that amount of money on something that important, I would expect to get what I paid for in a reasonable amount of time. You have to put yourself in this guys shoes, he dosent have a car, and its holiday season...? Hmm....Seems like RST needs to get with it, and I understand if he is VERY VERY busy or whatever, but yah he should give some sort of date that this guy can expect his tranny, so he isnt left in the dark on delivery and progress....

From what I've seen of RST, I doubt he's ripping you off, but I don't blame you for starting threads. I'd want answers. I'd just keep calling him and trying to get in contact with him.

well the last thred he responded to, said this is the only thing he checks, so i figure if i got it infront of him agian, mabey hed call me. I tryed PMing him but he says he never recives them, and AIM hes on hidden mode.... still answeres every once and a while, and cell is turned off. and ya i paid with paypal, i know i can get my money back, this comming from a family with alot of lawyers, but when u do that the court gives then 1 year to pay it in full, that doesnt get me back home by december. im in idaho school for me is over in december and have to get back to texas, longgg walk lol

well i called UPS gove the zip it left and my zip. well it takes 4 days no matter the weight. so im assuming he hasnt sent it when he said he did. with was 2 weeks ago. now im fucking pissed!

just to let you kno ... jake had a death in the family and had to travel for it. then i guess he moved to. i got an email from him and he was in florida for a week or so for the funeral. then i called his parents house and they said he'd moved but didn't tell me where or any other info. so i'm just as much in the dark. plus c'mon your valve cover and tranny are nothin guys quit bitchin. i'm in the middle of payin him $11,300 bucks for a car i've never even seen except in pics.

If you bought it with paypal, you should be able to make a claim that the merchandise was never received. Unfortunately, I think you have to do that within 30 days of making payment, but it would be worth looking into.

well now im seeing some problems, still no contact from jake, no transmission, cant file a claim on paypal because yes it is 30 days. so there is possibality of it going legal, witch they give the other person up to a year to pay back the money, so any ideas on how i can get a tranny in and going by december 21st? or can anyone PM me some info on jake, address, home #, parents address will work, if they do not give me his new adress they are just as bad in the eyes of a court of law. so anything, thanks guys

I have now called fedex, they can track packages w/o a tracking #. so he didnt use fedex, and UPS said nothing takes that long to ship. And agian no word from him yet.. but i do now have his parents address, and phone #. gotta love the internet. this comming from a kid with alot of people in law, anything over 200$ is a felony.... i dont think jake knows what he could possibly end up in. thats some deeeeep shitt.

I bought a few parts from Jake, but I live in minnesota also, about 9 hours from him, so I just drove to his house and picked them up...I got his cell number from him and had it on my phone but I dropped it in water and dont have the number anymore, sorry...

i guess jake disconnected his celly when he moved. i talked to his parents .... they said he should have a phone soon.

no ive never did business with him but i talked to him alot on MSN alot and he brother told me he moved away and dont have a phone or nothing right now he had to move because he got a new job there and is still getin setaled in but he knows he sent the tranny

Well this is weird because im bout to boost my RS once i get my car painted, and he was going to do my manifold, and get me a few parts. better to see all of this now then when i was going to drop him 1500 for alot of stuff. and if he sent it he would of called, or something. and honestly i could of backpacked a damn tranny in this amount of time. he sent it on nov. 8th!

anarchy, bout the net. im good at finding everything. you have to remember i do alot of busniess on ebay. i work at a mechanic shop back home on my off semesters, so i deal with this alot. its just a matter of where to look. And im going to call his house tommrow. or have my uncle call, hes in law school, not finished but he would be better at talking to someone than me. i have a tendancy to lose my temper, bad anger managment. and its 2 weeks till finals here, so my stress is all time high!

Don't get me wrong... It's wrong that he's promised you parts/ things that will make your car run (at least). Its actually pretty f'ed up. Dammit... f'ed up... just like me... again... on the forum.

hard time? i lost my grandma over the summer, i got back to work and my busniess with in 3 weeks. and it was in a car accident involving our van rolling and my sister almost dieing. so i know he doesnt need fucking 6 weeks to get over it. life goes on, its hard for a long time, but no reason to not talk to your customers. shit.

but he had the death in the fam., then had to come home from florida, pack his shit and move, plus start a new job, all in the course of 2 weeks. that'd be hard on anyone. really hard.

call his parents, talk to his brother, or his parents and let them bug him about it.

i'm sure jake will reach an agreement with you or something, but i don't think he's trying to screw you. unless you've really done something to piss him off.
