my friend sold something on ebay and the buyer from malaysia paid by a stolen credit card. later on, credit card company found out, took back the money that was charged through paypal, and paypal filed a claim against my friend asking him to send them the missing money. i know it's fucked up... was never my friend's fault. he didn't end up paying paypal anyway.

but the message of the story is, since it's paypal, you can probably do the same. file a claim with your credit card company, see what they can do.

i might do the same with my bank. althou, mine's been 4 months, doesn't look like odds on my side.

the fact about shipping companies being able to track with in 30 min. is bullshit. i used to be Quality Assurance with fedex and we were the ones who had to track packages alot of the time. sometimes it takes days to find because labels get ripped, smudged, wet, unreadable, so forth.

I'd love to close this for talking shit about a moderator and a friend, but I don't want another thread about the same thing to start. Please try not to spout bullshit accusations, and personally I think everyone needs to wait for Jake's new living arrangement so he can get online. If space-monkey wants to start legal action, that's fine. If the seller wasn't a moderator, helpful guy, my friend, and in contact when he CAN be, I would have recommended it a long time ago.

The whole thing about about helping people out on here is true. I am the one whos trans fluid he changed for FREE on a sunday night about 3 weeks ago. I truly believe jake, I know hes arround, I talked to him a few days ago. Give him a few days to get settled in his new place, I know for a fact he was having trouble getting the internet set up from the ISP. Hes not the type whos gonna screw you, if he was, do you think he would change the trans fluid for free especialy on a sunday night??

Im new to this site, so I dont really know jake, but from reading the forums, ive seen a whole lot of people asking jake for info, parts and what not. I think people are sticking up for him because they like him, not because hes a moderator, hes a moderator because people like him, he has a very high rep on here from what i have read about him. I didnt read the other read people are refering to, so this is the only thread i have read that slandered him.
Im not saying he isnt ripping people off, and im not saying he is, im staying out of that part, but the whole family thing is pretty rude imo, I just lost my mom about the same amount of time ago, and its still really hard. So people sitting there saying "its been a while, he needs to get over it" thats inconsiderate, and completly assinine.
Some of you have said you lost family members, and you dealt with it... HELLO, everyone is different, no one grieves the same. He might take 3xs as long as someone else to get over something that hurt the same amount. Its not something anyone else can judge, I find it pathetic when people sit there saying someone else needs to "get over" something that drastic, a death is a death, whether its a relative or close friend, its still gonna hurt.

Look its a big deal to me, because i spend thanksgiving with my roomates family. I was supposed to be back home in texas with my family. now to Chris... your tranny was shipped out USPS freight on November 8th at 3:47pm. what happened is when it got there it ended up being a residential address, you told me it was a business address (USPS freight will not ship to a residential address for they have no way of getting the freight off the truck) so there for they were looking for a dock to unload this thing (not small). they said there was 3 postal pick up notes left and documented and no one had answered them or come to get the tranny from the shipping company so it was returned. so as of right now i am out $170 and have a manual non turbo tranny that i have no use for, and your sueing/filing a claim against me! and your spreading shit all over the internet, spreading my parents phone number to people, they are calling my parents house at 3 IN THE FUCKIN MORNING! OK everyone as my duty to starting this thred, I apoligize for all fo this, but everyone had a chance to place themselfs in my shoes and even run the poll, and everyone was confused. We reached the agreement for him to send me the tranny, and i will pay him shipping upon arrival. I worked with him and not a second later. my mom had plans to meet with the creidt company and then my attorney saturday. so he showed up right in the nick of time. And hes a good guy, just needs to brush up the communication thing... constructive critizim. But we will see how it all goes once it get it. And to clarify i DID NOT call his house at 3, and gave no one his #. so u all can shove that one up your ass! Im a telemarketer i know the whole calling procedures, and stuff so i know my limits. And also i only called 3 times. Uhhh.... Also he said it sat here in Idaho Falls for a week. i am about to rip into my mechanic to see if that is true. other than that, legal stuff is off, unless this whole shipping rebound is true, then i might file on my mechanic for shipping cost the 150$ holding fee on the lift for the last 3 weeks because i promised him a tranny a month ago!
