97 Sable Keyless Entry

Hello-I bought a used Sable and wanted to program keyless entry. Is there a way to tell if the Sable GS is equipped with this feature? I bought the keyless entry over the internet and tried to program the car but nothing happened. Any help would be appreciated.

I bought a keyless remote fob from Ford. Here's how I did it: To program the remote turn put the key in the ignition and turn to the "on" position and then "off" quickly (don't start the car) about 4-6 times. The door locks will jump up and down like crazy. When that happens press the "lock" or "unlock" button on the remote. It should work. Then pop the trunk using the remote.

A ford dealer can run your serial number and tell you if you have a keyless system. Or you can go to www.keylessride.com and put in your number and they may be able to tell you.
