Cam Position Sensor

97 sable 3.o single cam. Keeps trashing the CPS and also the sychronizer once. Does anybody have any ideas as to why the sensor keeps getting smashed by the synchronizer? Thanks

i have the same problem.. how did you get the mark for the synchronizer possition? would it be the same as putting the engine at top dead center on #1 cylinder? supprizingly the car still runs..any help would be appreciated... :banghead: :banghead:
