When the motor is running and you turn the rear window defrost on, The radio goes to static. If the key is on accessory, No static. The cd player works fine, So I am thinking that it is somewhere in the antenna when the defrost is used. Anyone else have an idea? I have checked fuses, They are no where near each other. The only thing I have figured is the relay clicks when the rear defrost is on, But the same thing occurs when I have the defrost on in my 2003 GMC truck, So I didn't think this was unusual. I would appreciate anyones help out there.

I have the same problem. With static while the radio and the defrost are ON. I think it is because the antenna and the defrost wires overlap each other in the rear window causeing interference. I don't know how to remedy this.

Have the same problem on 2002 - I thought it was because I used an after market radio (SONY XM). Are you using the factory Delco radio? They do use the same wires for antenna and defrost.
