93 Sable Starter

My Sable wagon starts sporadically. Sometimes it will and other times it won't. Sometime if I let it sit overnight, it will start the next day. The battery checks good. Lights, radio, etc., all work. I am suspecting the starter. Where is the starter located? Is there a way to check the starter? Engine turns over fine.

On our 93 Sable its right in the front under the engine. Bang it if it will not start. Usually it will start cold then get hot and not start. They are pricy for as small as they are. I installed a OEM rather than a rebuilt.
