hmmmm

i was siting here thinking because i have a92 saturn sl2 and is low end torque i was wondering is it possible to change it to high end torque is it in the gearing or wut not ?

ooo i fooregot to say that it has 330,000 miles on it so it was a good car still is and how can i get and install a governer for it do i have to specifically buy one for a certain rpm cut off owr wut now¿¿¿

depends do you want to change the engine' torque curve or the torque at the wheel.

if you want to change the engine's torque curve, start with your basic breathing mods, many of the basic bolt-on tend to raise HP but lose low end torque.

if you want to change the torque at the wheels you could regear the trans, but the options are limited, the MP3 trans(DOHC engines) is basicly the preformance trans. the MP2(SOHC engines) is designed for econimy. some people have tried racing the MP2 with the DOHC engine, with negitive results. another option if you are solely looking for high speed power is to increase the wheel/tire size. the result is basicly the same as regearing. lose low-end gain high end. not good for 0-60 times.

i can tell you where to go for the speed/rev limiter removal, but i do not recommend it for any street car.

ok thanx but the rev limiter need to be put on i gues something happend and it got tooken off b4 my time with the car so i was looking to put one on

the rev limiter is set by the PCM, i'm not quite sure what you are discribing. are you missing the PCM, or is the rev limiter not acting properly?(IE - cut off at 4K rpm) can you explain the problem or operation of the car? or do you just want to know how to reprogram the PCM to adjust the limiter?

well from what i have seen performance whise as i get on to the freeway i wind her up and take off i get to about 6.5 rpms adn haas no sign off cutting off in sight. as i was getting ready to punch it and see how many rpms i can pull offbut the thought of 330,000 miles on it comes to mind and i dont want to blow my engine sooo i am wondering if there is one on a higher rpm or how cani make it so there is a limiter

your limiter should be 4K when stoped, 6750 when moving, and speed limiter around 118MPH. if you have a auto trans i beleave the 6750 limiter is removed or raised when in PERF mode.

here is the guy who will reprogram, i think he charges 150 or 75, its been awhile...
