Favorite past car

what is your favorite car from before 1975 and why do you love it so much?

1969 Dodge Charger Daytona w/Hemi engine. That alone should be enough explanation as to why I like this car. It was a beast!!

I would say a Viper - I passed on the other day. oops - you mean past cars. My English isnt going very well today...

I only went with American though.... I also (of course) love the 250GTO, 250TR, 250LM...basically all 250's, 275's, 365's.....there are a lot of them I like.

Classics are great. Corvairs, old fords (like, 30's-ish), Nova, Mustangs, 'Cudas, superbirds, cougars...they're all great.

mmmmm......for those of us who dont live in the States and love those sorts of cars you dont know how lucky you are :) :)

All my favourite cars are pre 1975 and picking one is hard. I'll go with the 1963 Corvette coupe. Most beautiful car in the world.

I do like American Muscle but, I';m not nearly as fond to it as I am of Porsches, like the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS.

For American I'd stick with my AMC AMX. 390 V8 w/4-speed...it was just plain fast and furious. Something one doesn't see everyday.
For my favorite past ride, man that's tough. I loved my Porsche 944. But my older 924 that was setup for circuit racing was great. But the 944 was just better but a notch or two than the 924. But the 924 gave more thrills per MPH.

Ferrari 250 GT SWB of course. In my humble opinion the most beautiful car ever to come out of the Ferrari stable. The early TVR's, such as the Griffith. Briggs Cunninghams C4R, a 50's era light European sports car with a thunderous Cadillac V8. The Shelby Cobra 427 S/C, a light European sports car with a thunderous Ford V8. Hmm, similarities.

Give me a 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda or a Road Runner.

Mine is the 60's Stingrays. I love vettes, especially the calloway,stingray, and Z06.:D

My favorite car from the past is a 1967 tri-power 427 Corvette roadster. Rode in one once, it was FANTASTIC!!
My favorite past car I've owned was a 1976 Firebird Formula 400 that had a modified Ram Air IV 1969 GTO engine in it - WOOO HOOO!!

What is there to not like about this car? Too bad they're rare in the U.S. only 10,000 imported over three years. I'm glad I have one! but I wish there were more. For those who are less than familiar with the 360 there's an attached picture below of a Young S model.

Ah man, that Subaru 360 takes an hour to get to 15 MPH :LOL:

well it so hard to choose damnit. i would say everycar that ha s been mentioned here already plus every other car made in the time period allowed. i challenge anyone to find a car i wouldnt like from 1974 or before. but if i HAD to choose id prly say 67 fastback HP GTi think its a 427. btu i really dont want to choose...

Actually, 15 seconds to get to 50mph, and from there half an hour to get to 70mph! But it can still outdrag a VW microbus, but since drag racing is boring and rather pointless I guess that doesn't matter much.
