Hi,
I have a 1999 Windstar LX and the turn signal light on the left rear stays on (constant) and won't go out even if the ignition is turned off. The lamp indicator light on the dash displays a lamp out warning but there are no other lights out; only one that won't shut off!

Ford went to "negative switching" on exterior lamps on the Winnie (perhaps other models have it also).
This means the lamps get a constant 12v supply and only need a ground to be "on". I suspect you have a wire-to-ground fault... perhaps right at the lamp socket.
