Random shaking at acceleration

I just recently bought a 91 CRX, the check engine light was on when I bought it, but the owner said it came on because of an oxygen sensor, and he replaced the sensor, but didn't have the tool to reset the computer with. I put about 3000 miles on the car in the past 2 months, when I'm accelerating just normally usually when the engine is between 2000 and 3000 rpms, the car shakes maybe two or three times, and after that, everything seems fine. I'm thinking it might be connected to that check engine light. Maybe even a bad fuel pump or hopefully just filter. What do you guys think?

The only tool you need to reset the computer is a pair of needle nose pliers. Pop the hood, theres a fuse box on the left side (when facing the front of the car) on top of the strut tower. Open that up and pull the Hazard fuse. Keep it out atleast 15 seconds then pop it back in. Your computer is now reset

when the car is not moving and when you rev the car to 2000-3000 rpms does it shake? if it only shakes when you're driving at 55mph and up and accelerating then it's most likely the inner cv boots. that was my problem.
