I am nuts about cars. I draw them, work on them, my life pretty much revolves around them. Its scary to the point that I check out more cars than women.

I got my first eclipse as a complete fluke. It was a deal so I bought it, but had never actually planned to get one. 98 GS Spyder. I modded the exterior to the max, and then craved a turbo after driving my friend's GST. Swapped mine for a GS-T spyder later on, and I have had it for one year now. I LOVE eclipses. I am a die hard fan now. I think the 2G Eclipses are the best looking cars in their class BY FAR. No competition. :ylsuper: .

AF has been the best thing to happen to me as far as increasing my knowledge of my car goes. I have learnt A LOT in very little time and started working on my car with the help of the regulars on here.

Ray Calderon here....Im Irish and half Guatemalen. Everyone makes fun of me because i cant speak spanish. From Chicago (born and raised) and I go to school in indiana(Junior)....Im currently changing my major to biology and going to optemetry school. I actually was in the process of buying a baraccuda for myself after high school, but when i saw my friends rs...i couldnt take my eyes off of it, and reading up on the eclipse i found out they come stock fast as hell....so wanted to buy a gsx, but after looking around so much and no success, i bought a gst and i love it...I have learn so much with the forums after joining in Nov. of 2003. Im still not a pro at this car, but with all the help of you guys, i will eventually. My gf gets pissed off because im on the forums at least 20 times a day. Even my school work is starting to suffer lol..

I just stalk 95 GSXracer, and have read everything he typed since 2003. I was jealous when they made EclipseRST a moderator, but then I saw the post about it and realized I was a mod too.

I was a newbie at AF, then when I felt like I knew a little bit, moved up in forums, and am currently a newbie with the NABR people. Meeting lots of important people and their fast cars, unfortunately I don't impress them any with my vast experience.

Paid $12,000 a few years ago for my 97 Talon TSI AWD. Had 35k miles, 3 years of warranty, and the motor/brakes/turbo/clutch had 49 miles on them. Pussyfooted around a few thousand miles, and the car currently rests in Alaska with 46k on her. Moved to Colorado Springs for college(computer engineering), and my car is coming down next summer with plans for the fastest street car ever conceived, 16g.

Car has a cheap ricer filter, home depot intake pipe (thanks kevin), 3'' apexi turboback, brode UICP, 1g BOV, and a BBC MBC. Can't forget the boost gauge/gauge cluster pod :). Total costs are around $475. Should have run 13.7's, but I turned the T25 to 21psi like a retard and it misfired all the way down the track to a 14.4. Oh well. Car won't see the track until it has another $7,000 into it, next summer.

Oh yeah, I'm 18, but 21 on the weekends and at the store.

Next summer, I'm going to ship the car from Alaska to Seattle, then drive it to Oregon and buy Dallas J's (RMDSM) Big 16g. Ported, clipped, 34mm flapper. Search 34mm flapper posts by Kevin to see how dumb I am. Then, I'll drive to Sacramento and beat up on some Hondas, drive to Colorado Springs, get all my shit to college, then fly to the '05 Buschur DSM shootout in OH to party with Kevin and Jake.

Im Dustin 19. I have an RS that i have drove in like 2 months. lol. Selling it. Hopefully getting a GST Spyder or just GST by next summer.

Its been a while since i been on here and I see personals. Anyway, my name is Chris. I'm 21 and live in Waterbury, CT(one of the worst cities to live in) and I am a tape operator which is just a job for me. In high school, I was athletic and ran alot, but when I graduated, I got my eclipse gs. I only use my legs to shift and acclerate nowadays. My car has a ram intake, greddy exhaust, front and rear strut bars, and ngk plugs. Next on the list is the udp, short shifter, and hoping to be boosted soon. I came on the site to learn about upgrading my cars performance and I got a lot of help and learned a lot.

whats up im jason i live is sioux falls,sd im 22 i drive a 97 gs-t spyder its a kindof marroon with a tan top and tan/black leather i work as an engineere at a local company and enjoy street, drag, auto cross racing, and am a huge snowmobiler (crazy). i have ran a 15.4 in the 1/4 mile bone stock and street tires and it was 105 degrees out which sucked but o well now im sure its capable of a low 14 or high to mid 13's now but i didnt get to run it this summer because i was constantly adding something to it so i never had it tuned properly now i am going to dyno it and get the max i can out of it this winter then early next summer i will run it again and gets some #'s. i guess i have a few mods as far as the big 16g turbo, nology wires, wolboro 255 pump, greddy turbo timer, hks inter cooler pipes and ssqv bov, s-afc 2, ngk bpr7es plugs, denso 550 injectors, and like everyone has the guages, im sure im missing a bunch but who cares we all have pritty much the same bolt on stuff i am going to do a full 3" exhaust turbo back before i dyno it though and some day i would really like to rebuild the motor bottom up compleatly and push around 550 whp and my ultimate goal is to get a wrecked gsx and take the awd components off and get them on the spyder sence i have the shop to do it in and i have another car to drive i will get it done i just need to find a wrecked one i could pick up cheep. i want to be the only gsx spyder that i know of it would be great but i guess well see. all u guys are great and help out lots but take care and this is going to get to dang long so later.

My name is Ashwin, at the young age of 17 I'm a senior in high school in southern california (thousand oaks). Just got my 1998 GS-T (5spd) a month and a half ago or so with 49K miles driven by a 43 year old woman to work and back. She got bored of ppl trying to race her, so she put it up for sale. It was garaged for its whole life, and the paint is in such good condition that I now have to clean out my own garage to put the car in. Anyhow, planning on doin a little here and there for supporting mods and then finally putting in a 14B....or a 16G depending how much i really want out of it. I'm debating between leaving it stock (gauge & MBC) because its in such an awsome condition and working on it later, or just slowly goin to work on it over the next 6-8 months until i get a bigger turbo to put in next summer. Whats your call on it?

my name is Vince Carter, and yes, i'm famous. currently i'm living in the Newport Beach area of the OC. i do Real Estate Loans for tons of $$ [way to much for a guy that went to college for 6 years and didn't get a nice paper to hang on the wall, but SDSU is just like that]. i got a 97 spyder with way too much $$ into it. the carpet is in the trunk because the top leaks like a bitch and i had to tear it out and throw it in one of those industrial strenght washers... lol... i know a pretty fair bit of stuff about the Spyder/4g63. i have been on this site for over a year now and although i'm not on here too often anymore, if anyone would like to hit me up on MSN messenger feel free. i'm also a pilot and fly out of John Wayne airport about once a week.

I drive a 96 Eclipse GS 5 speed that has a short throw shifter, ebay intake, tsudo header, and HP Racing Full Cat back exhaust. It has 17's wrapped in kuhmo 711's. Its got a couple subwoofers to that help me be a public nusience. I just bought a 97-99 front bumper cover and a set of 97-99 projector headlights to compliment it whenever i get around to doing that stuff. Oh and I got a gallon of your standard gloss black paint or two quarts of house of color so blue graphic to spray it with.. havent decided what one imma use yet so let me know your opinions. Other than that I'm just a regular bum so i'll see ya in the threadz... peace

Hola, I'm Will. I'm black/venezuelen/korean (go figure). I just turned 17 last October and i got my Eclipse RS, 5 speed, not bad for a 1st car. I live just south of Dallas, Texas, in a city called Duncanville. I'm a Junior in high school and i'm currently taking my 3rd year of an automotive class. I want a new car sometime soon, such a GSX, while i'm still in high school, since the school has a fully operational garage, i won't have to pay labor :naughty: i'm currently J-O-B-less right now, so i'm job hunting so that i can eventually get a new, faster car. I've been into cars every since i was a baby (i built road courses with dominoes, lol), i've been in love with 240sx's every since i was able to grasp the idea of tuning cars the right way. but now, i've got a new found love for DSM's, so i'm having fun driving the hell out of my RS. i've been a member of AF for quite some time now, and i've had my lumps here and there, all in the process of learning. i'm pretty knowledgeable about 240sx's and drifting, so if you ever need advice, i'm your man. peace yall

I feel really sorry for my car right now...i think it's feeling very old after reading what eveyone has...I have a '93 Eclipse GS 1.8L with a five-speed shortshifter (about the only good thing about the car currently), that burns oil very badly...but, it has 190,000 miles on it, so who can blame it? When i bought it, it was extreemly uncared for, but, i'm tying to help it along the way...the way i figure, it's better than the '91 Accord that i traded in to get it...anyway, feel free to e-mail me if you want..buh bye!

I wanna do a headlight-conversion in the future, but custom made stuff is mostly forbidden, so that sucks most! I wanna get rid of my popup lights and I'm looking madly for those side skirts that look like a crescent in the end (I think they're old). went with the 1st gen 6 bolt after blowing up the 7bolt.
Did full head work port and polish, crower springs retaners, over size ferrea valves, 3 angeal valve job, HKS cams 276/272 (i think). Gready pippes, still have stock but refreshed 1st gen bottom end. stock intercooler and a little b14 for now. Well I live in Stockton California which is in the middle of Cali, well sort off. I owned a 98 GS A/T for about a year (My Baby) Took very good care of it, put A few visuals like turbo wing, tv, new paint job(etc) No point in performance since It can't be as fast as big brother 4g63 without alot of money. Finally sold it and bought my 98 Spyder Gs-T. Finally boosted! Well ive done tons of reading and know what path i wanna go performance wise. Glad to be here, learn alot just by posting and reading here. :smile:
