Hello!
My name is Craig. A father of three and grandfather of five, I enjoy the projects on the Eclipse almost as much as the results they bring. I have an rs, manual, which has seen a few transformations starting with Hahn's stage 2 turbo system. Am currently installing a fp3052, along with the LM1 wideband. Running 8 injectors for about 3 months now on a 20g, and realizing that fuel is not an issue, I decided to go with more flow and an external wastegate. Some of my remaining mods are: built bottom end, 3" catback, Hahn's fmic, 3.55 Neon trans. Have pocketlogger-invaluable tool. Also utilizing 500cc secondary injectors. Been turboed for over 2 years, 27k miles. Quaiffe is on the list of upcoming installs, along with an oil cooler.
Looking forward to learning from you guys! I rarely post as I find I gain more knowledge from reading.

My name is Sean, I am 30 years old have 3 kids. I live in Arkansas. Yes I have all my teeth, and wear shoes nearly every day :icon16: . This is my first import car, it is way different from my F-bodies, and trucks. Before this car, I have owned and modifed:73 firebird, 78 Z28, 81 Z28, 83 Camaro, 85 Camaro, 88 Trans Am GTA, 95 Formula 6-spd, 97 Formula 6-spd, and an 84 Chevy truck, and too many others to count. SO hardly any of my old tricks work on a 96 GST. I will be happy if I can just keep the thing running for more than a week at a time . This site has been very helpful to me, so THANKS

Hi my name is Kelley, I live in Toledo, Ohio. I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS- I have had it for almost 3 years now- tons of modes done to it, red neons, OBX header, HKS exhaust, all around sway bars, Optima Battery, AEM short ram intake- not to mention all my problems- blown head gasket, when head gasket replaced so was timing belt, water pump- then the car would not start back up so we had to put a new starter, new starter relay, new fuel pump relay- about 15 days later I am leaking oil again- the head gasket blew so one again that was replaced, then the car would not start so another fuel pump relay, then a fuel pump, fuel filter- now I am having more problems! I love my car though, it is black, black and grey leather interior, (Im told that is rare?) it has black tinted windows, they are so illegal here in Ohio! I am liquidating my assets though so after I figure out my problem I am selling her (her name is Clipse) to my Bro- keeping it in the family!
Well that is about it, nice to meet you all- hope we can all help each other, I figure with all the hassel Ive been in this past month I can lend a helping hand! Ive learned a lot that is for sure!
PS I am a girl- I just have a super boyfriend who tricks out my rides! You should see my truck- its dropped 2" in the front, 3" in the rear, it has chrome 18" rims on it, tinted windows (its black too), slamming sound system- I had to put a compustar on it because it has been broken into 2 times in the past 4 months- I just got it totally repainted. Pretty sweet and no one ever belives its mine- I have 2 sweet rides that is forsure! But hey you only live once right!!!

Hi, I'm FleaTie. I'm 18 yrs. old and I have a 1990 Eagle Talon, 5spd. I want to put a stock turbo on my Talon. I know there is a difference in the exhaust manifold. Is that it? I don't know much about the Talons. Just bought the car three days ago, for $200.00. A couple bent valves and a belt, is what it needs. I'm haveing the head machined, and I'll put the belt on myself. Is there a difference in the engines, were I can't put a stock turbo on? I can get a stock turbo for a little of nothing, thats why i'm asking about a stock turbo. It would be much appreciated if anyone had some info on this. Thanks guys!!!!!! Oh, and sorry I don't have any pics of her yet. It's not at my house yet(at my bro's shop).

I'm Chad I am 16 got my first car at about 15 a 91 Eclipse GS for 500 bucks bent valves and belt. Doing a complete swap for another 4G63 NT cheap. I plan to turbo it when I have the money. Now I am working on the exterior cause its a little cheaper. Dont have a job I better get one to mod out my Eclipse.

I'm --- (lol), and the owner of a 1995 Eagle Talon Esi 5-speed. The car has rims/tires and Tokico suspension kit in the mail right now, and an Injen Cold Air Intake on backorder. I plan to do a little to the engine then save up for a Hahn Stagecraft Turbo, which will take a while considering I make only $500 a month.

I used to be a Honda owner (yeah flame me for it, but it was a first car with 40 mpg, suck my peen)

I used to have an AWD, but some retard put the tranny back in with the housing cracked and didn't tell me, and well I guess you can figure it out from there.

No mod's right now, it's got low miles and A/C! It's really clean on the inside and outside, and runs good so far. Boosts about 13lbs. I'll have some pics up soon.

I've got a few things to do to this car. Including paying it off.

yea u know what i might be able to help u but i'm jus a gurl but i doing the same thing to my car and i know u might have to change the injectors and put an intake on it. iput if i figure more shit oput i holla t u or u can right to me at [email protected] i had to talon one wit turbo but it was automatic and i got aonther one not turbo but it a stick shift . u ain't got to changed the motor but make sure it reinforced
if u doing getting the head done u should put new belts and new hoses anad a water pump because then u ain't gotta worry bout it.

I just aquired a 1995 Eclipse RS and completely rebuilt the engine, added a Pacesetter header, hi-flow cat, a Holley Air Mass cat-back system, AEM cam gears, billet underdrive pulley, NGK iridium plugs, Ractive 9.5mm wires, Bomz cold air intake.....and I'm far from being done. I'm still trying to figure out html and stuff but I'll get pictures up soon!!

Right now, I'm actually deciding wether or not to buy an Eclipse or Tiburon (Huynadi). Which ever deal I get that is the best at the time I will take.

Originally from Oakland, California. Near the shady 80's, in case anyone is a local. Attended college in San Luis Obispo for a couple years, too. That was fun. Recently moved to NY to finish up my degree, studying Natural Resources and Environmental Law at college here. It's fun.

My gf (highschool sweetheart?) and I own a 1996 Gsx and a 1990 Ford Taurus. With a DSM and a Ford, we do lots of walking. It's a love hate relationship. The DSM was in a head-on and repaired by a guy who was out to make money on the deal by reselling it. Lots of drunken bondo. I'd like to research what I do and what I buy, and share as much of that info as possible. This forum has been a lot of help for me. I never said Hello so here it is. I'm Aaron, 21 I own a 95 Eclipse RS that just sux (read my sig and you'll know why), a busted all to heck 98 Civic DX, and a 96 Dodge Avenger ES V6. I love music, high speed and lots of torque. I have a wife who's 19. I spend lots of time researching what custom stuff has and has not been done. I love AF because the knowledgeable people that have taught me so much.

Hey I'm Chris. I'm 18 years old, and live in southern Wisconsin, a.k.a. hickville USA. I hardly ever see any DSM's driving around, but the rare ones I notice now that I own one.

I will be attending UW Platteville this fall, majoring in either Computer Science or Business, can't decide which. Don't really put a whole lot of thought into it right now, just takin the basic shit right away.

My car is so slowwwww, but what can you expect from a N/T. :tongue: I sorta wish, wait, I really wish I would have bought this 98 GSX I saw down in Illinois, but I was impatient and bought a 99 GS... :banghead: Oh well, I'm gonna put some basic speed mods into the beast, and see how far that gets me. I'm hopin to top 200 hp, for less than $1,500, staying N/T. Good luck, huh.

It seems I'm on here all the fuckin time now. I just read and read and read, and then post, and then read somemore. I have gained a helluva lot of knowledge about DSM's, and try to apply it to my car the best I can. Where I'm at, there are not really any performance or tuning shops within 100 miles, so yeah. I do what I can, with what I got.

By the way, the reason it was free was because the timing belt is bad, the fuel filter and battery need to be replaced, and it's sat around in a parking lot for about THREE YEARS.

From an investment perspective, should I part it, or fix it, and try to not lose my arse? PM me with your advice. Thanks.

Oh, I also just started a company that makes carbon fiber/fibre parts for Ferraris (specifically Testarossas). Of course everyone that reads this would automatically be a fan, but do you feel like there's a market for CF stuff (more than a hood) for DSMs?
