Locking with keyless entry causes horn to beep constanlty

Hi all, new to the forums here.

My 2001 Saturn LS has started to beep constantly when I try to lock it. Basically, If I use the keyless entry to lock, with one click, a continual honk occurs. I can still lock the car using the automatic locks before closing the door and can manually lock the doors with the key without a problem. Also, If I use the keyless entry to lock the car, unlocking it with the remot stops the honking (but obviously leaves the car unlocked).

Anyone know what this 'feature' is and how I can stop it from happening?

Is not really a feature, it's sounds like your keyless entry module is acting up, if your car is still under warrany have saturn look for it.

double check the owners manual for this, if its not there, call up you saturn dealership and ask

mine does that (2001 SL2) witht the keyless but it only does that when the doors are open i don't know what else it would be???

i had one incident where mine did that (02 SC2), i just figured the kelyess remote was being dumb.. unlocked the doors, and locked it up again with the remote, and it hasnt happened since..
