94 Saturn power window

94 Saturn power window - driver’s side window has the front regulator roller come out of the track attached to the window glass. It looks like I have to remove the track from the window glass to get the roller back in the track. Is this what I need to do or is there another way? If I need to remove the track from the glass, it looks like I will need a special tool, the track is attached by a thin round peace of metal with 4 holes set in a square threaded to a bolt. What tool do I need and where can I get it?

Door window glass removal
1. remove outer door panel
2. lower the window glass
3. remove the two nuts and one screw securing the glass
4. remove the glass by lifting it up carefully and rotating in inward.

window regulator
preform above plus
5. remove door inter panel
6. remove the regulator cam bolts, drill out the retaining rivits, then detach the regulator
7. pull the regulator through the service hole to remove it.

install is reverse.

The book says to: 3. remove the two nuts and one screw securing the glass
The problem is that there are not two nuts and one screw securing the glass, but 2 bolt shafts which have a thin round peace of metal with 4 holes set in a square threaded to a bolt instead of a nut. What can I use to remove them?

ah now i think i know what you are talking about, check in the tools section of your local auto/hardware store, i have a feeling the tool you are looking for is avaible in a hex-bit, and if i'm am thinking of the right thing, its a torx-15 bit, if you have the non-pop-up headlights, it the same size as the adjustment srcew, on top of the headlight. thats just a guess because i never take the glass out and saturn uses the torx-15 bit in a few places. but even if thats not the right size you may find something there that will work. sorry thats all i know, if you still have trouble, ask on Saturnfans.com
