light bulb issue concerning DOT in illinois

i am think about get a pair of Piaa xtreme white plus H4 light blubs
so how do find out is it legal in illinois?
this pair rates 4000K

Just make sure the box or rim of the bulb (on the base where the glass cles out from) says it's DOT approved/legal. My PIAA Super Plasma GT-X bulbs are DOT legal, so I'd think the Xtremes would be too.

Correct, PIAA Extreme White lights are indeed street legel, as are the Super Plasmas and Super Plasma GT-X's.
