Hey all,

Im switching a DPFI for a MPFI and ive got most of the parts, except the distributor, and the resistor box. I was wondering, where is the injector resistor box located on these cars? Since i dont have one on my std hatchback, ive got no real idea where to look. Anyone know? Also, will any resistor box work with this thing? im switching to a D16A6. Thanks for any help :D

Hi Noob, welcome to the forum :)

The box is near the brake booster on Si Civics and CRXs. They are easy to find in the junkyard and while your there you can grab the dizzy too. GL

PS as far as I know the DPFI cars don't have one.

Thanks a bunch. I just got back from the junk yard, and realized id forgotten to get it :p. I probably could have found it if i would have looked and known what it looked like, but i didnt. I also tried to get the distributor while i was there, but they didnt have one, so tough luck for me, gonna have to go somewhere else.

BTW: Thanks for the welcome :D

The injector box is in the top right corner under the hood

:2cents:
i am also doing the same thing, dpfi to mpfi,
I dont have the distributor or a resistor box,
but :
http://www.fourthgenhatch.com/mpfi.html

says you dont need a mpfi distributor,or do ya?
just tap the CPS,
also on the 1st/top picture on that site,
i dont have that metal box on top of the throttle w/a vacuum hose going into the middle, whats that called?
or will I really need it?

sorry to take over in your post, but it was about the same subject

Parts for MPFI on DPFI engine
MPFI Manifold (D16A6, Si engine)
MPFI Distributor (D16A6)
Injector Resistor Box (most all Honda ones will work but I recommend getting an Si one)
Injector Plugs (if your Manifold doesn't have them)
PM6 Si ECU

clearly says you need mpfi dizzy.

I think they switched injector type at some point to eliminate the resistor box.

i got a pm6 ecu. Make an offer...

or i have also 1 extra pg7 ecu off a 1st gen. i believe a 88 teg. Works the same but has more aggressive fuel maps, and a higher rev limit.

Make offer on anything.
