Hello to all

Since there's still no luck on cartrackers, and i know alot of members have come here, this seems to be our new home.

anyways, to my question

how do you clean out the MAF sensor. and what do you recommend using?

thanks,
Stephen

Some of the G-roo's may have a better method, but I've had good luck with cotton swabs & a spray can of electrical contact cleaner. Just be really careful/gentle around the actual p/up wire(s).

I have used Radio Shack's "Precision Electronics Cleaner"(#64-4345). Various alcohols, naptha, acetate propelled by CO2. They claim it doesn't leave residue. Seems to work OK, .. but then I haven't used it that often.

Just to stay on the safe side I personally would not touch the wires with a cotton swab or anything else. A good dousing of electric contact cleaner should clean them without rubbing.

B-12 Carb cleaner.

Did my MAF and saved the day.

Make sure you unplug the batter and let dry before starting.

Remember a MAf sensor is a heater.

The more air passes over the coils the cooler the wires will be so the MAF applies more volts which mean high air flow. More air flow more gas.
