i believe the wires you speak of are to change the tach so it will work for a 6 cylinder and a 8 cylinder....you connect the 2 blues or the 2 browns to make it a 6 cylinder....and to make it a 8 cylinder you connect the 2 browns together and the 2 blues together.....thats what im thinking

It could be that,
on autometer you just cut off two wires or is it that
you cut one wire and by cutting those you get 4,6 or 8 cilinder engine conv. on AM....

Speaking of autometer gauges, what's the yellow wire usually for? Mine didnt come w/ instructions and I was thinking it was for the memory but the memory of the shift light works fine w/o it..... any help would be appreciated, thanx.

I like stock gauges and stock gauge clusters. Unless they are needed like a boost gauge if you have a turbo, etc.
