... and 2 out of the 3 were used as cures in the 1800s. Leeches to bleed people and maggots to stop gangrene... they were put in wounds and would eat the dead flesh and leave the healthy. Just as well you didn't live then (unlike taranaki who was born then :p )

I know about that actually....and they used to have a procedure called "bloodletting" which was supposed to get rid of the "bad" blood.

Once, went bush walking in Springwood, every 5 metres, had to stop and pull of leeches...there would be like 10 or so climbing up my shoes, and legs :eek:

yup... they don't bug me that much but I don't enjoy having them latch on. Walking through the jungle in Malaysia would always mean you got them latching onto your legs.

our systems stuff up a lot too... idiot techs and imacs. Look at it wrong and it crashes on you.

I got IBMs into our staffroom and the stoopid techs then stuffed the server up so that they wouldn't work :rolleyes:
