Does any body know of a way to disable the drls on an 01 impala ls.If you pull the underhood relay the service engine soon light comes on and one of the high beams dosent work.

If driving during the day try driving with head light switch on one click to parking lights it may work not sure though.

It should be do-able, but I do not know the process off the top of my head. I know the 9C1 Police Packages have the Surv.Mode that allows you to turn the DTRL off (Along with all interior lights)

You might also be able to find a way to turn them off through the menus in the radio, not sure on that though, but worth looking at.

Here is a way...on the wire harness just to the left of the motor by the belts, if you cut the one closest to the wheel well, the green one with the black strip, be careful, their are two of them, one on each side. That wire is the one that is hooked to the relay. I know it will disable them, but i'm not sure if it will trip a service engine light.
I know it's kinda blunt but if you have any questions just email me and i will be more detailed in the instructions.
