lost keyless remote new codes

bought 97 sable second hand from friend whos son past away. keyless remote was not anywhere to be found. is there anyway to change codes on your own without going to dealer and paying fifty dollars. dont know what codes currently are.

turn key from off to run 5 times in 10 seconds ending up on run if car origionally had keyless entry locks will lock then unlock tou then have 30 seconds to hit a button on your remote and it is programmed
