i might be buying a 96 se integra with a broken timing belt and many bent valves, which is cool i have a b20 with a bad oil pump waiting to go in...... so my question is why do peeps use the gsr or type r oil pumps when building b20/b20 vtec's? is it better/different oil pressure or is there another reason why i should consider the gsr/type r oil pump???
thanx...........gunnmen01

VTEC oil pumps pump out more oil to keep them rod/main bearings as well as whole motor lubed up at high RPM. It is well worth it, you can't tell the difference, but you are assured that you can rev it up higher without getting the motor starved for oil.
I personally put a VTEC z6 oil pump in my D16a6. It is a perfect bolt on affair. It should be the same on B-series.
