power antenna installation

I have a 98 sable v6.

I got the power antenna from the dealer like months ago and it was $50!
They said its a quick 5 minutes installation, ive had 4 different people look at it, they have no clue how to swap out the old on and throw in the new one. Anyone know how???

I am trying to replace same antenna and cannot remove the old mast. Any help?

I don't know about the 98s, but my 94 you have to take out the the passenger side wheel well (easy to do) and then you can get to it.
