The outside handle on the back door of my 95 Windstar stopped working for some reason a few weeks ago. I can still pull it, but it doesn't open the door anymore.
Unfortunately, I can't see any simple way of opening up either the latch or the door and seeing what's going on inside. Anyone here have any suggestions?
Thanks.

Question?? Is this the rear hatch door or side doors? Take off the door panel on rear hatch by basically finding the screw near the inside loop handle and unscrew duhh.. and then find the other two screws under the plastic caps on either side of the hatch (inside) door. Pop off the plastic back door shroud by grasping and pulling out(away from door being careful not to break the plastic holder tabs and lift up and over/out (towards window to clear the door lock button. Now you'll have full access to viewing the latch and will most likely find that the metal throw arm has come out of a nepoprene holder or it's worn out a holder.. from over usage. Wrecker time and get a part or just snap back into place and test!.. Good luck!
