how did you get the aluminum tube to bend that way without kinks? or is it solder?

It's aluminum rod. Marc

Here are the latest pics of the modified exhaust system on my Cuda.

Wanting a better look for the exhaust, I removed some material from the Vette tips and wrapped strips of .010 Evergreen around. Should look sweet with a coat or two of Alclad Chrome with black inside the openings.

Here's the complete exhaust system with the aluminum rod that replaced the molded in kickups over the rear diff, I mean wire axle!!!

It's been awhile since I've posted any updates on this one. Here are some pics of it in Tamiya Fine Surface primer as it awaits a coat of white primer and some Tamiya Candy Lime Green. I promise to finish this one as soon as the '66 Mustang is done. Enjoy!!!

Man that thing looks awesome. All the little details that you have added are just amazing. Cant wait to see some paint on it. Are you going to two-tone the top part of the front fender and front kinda like the AAR Cuda's?

Been awhile since I've touched this one. After all the hoopla in the 1:1 car mags surrounding Joe Rogan's Sick Fish Cuda, I decided that something had to be done with the rear spoiler on my MPC Cuda. After major mods on an AMT Baldwin Motion Camaro rear spoiler, here are some pics of it mocked up:

http://images7.fotki.com/v135/photos/2/224343/1104979/DSC00066a-vi.jpg?1103688064

Still have some minor fit issues to deal with before I attach and mold to the body. What do you think?

Enjoy!!!

Hi,

I like the style you build. Clean work all over. Perfekt hood, great exhaust ( do you replace the tubes between engine and rear axle, too?)

As you can see by the pics it's still a work in progress, but you get the idea. It is not as laid down as it was in the last post Tuesday night. In those pics it was actually on upside down. As mounted, the angle of the rear spoiler actually matches the angle of the topside of the concave taillight panel. Cool huh?

Color is Tamiya TS Candy Lime Green over Tamiya White Primer. Today I will be painting the tops of the front fenders Tamiya Gloss Black ala AAR Cuda. Then it will get one or two coats of Tamiya Clear before I apply my AAR strobe stripes courtesy of Fred Cady and modified by Darin Bastedo aka Ashevillemodeler.

Happy New Year!!! Marc

Hey P Man...you like this any better? I painted the fender and door tops and front header panel in the AAR Cuda theme except I used Tamiya TS Gloss Black. Front grill and rear taillight panel will be matt black. I took two pics with the CF hood on it.
