2000 impala turn signal problems

The turn signal in our car has been acting up. Sometimes it works fine, but other times it flashes really quick, or doesn't flash at all. I would assume this is the flasher that is bad. Does anyone know where it is located so I can replace it? Or, if you have any other ideas on what it could be, let me know.

Mine was doing the same thing, i took it to the dealership and they replaced the hazard switch because it was shorting out. It blinks fast when one of your bulbs is burned out, i got out with it blinking fast and they where working. If you turn either the right or left blinker on and move the hazard switch without pushing it, see if it acts up then...if it does, replace it....you can do it your self it's easier but you have to pull a good section of the front plastic piece of the dash off to get to it...it's easy but you need a little patience....let me know

if the turn signals act up just turn on the hazards for a few seconds and they'll quit, but it is a recall so your local chevy dealer will fix it for free.

Is this an actual recall, or just a warranty fix? My 2001 isn't under warranty anymore.

Check your turn signal fluid first.. it might be low.... :p
Anyways, when i drive the car, and when i switch lanes, i usually dont click the turnsignal in, i just hold it up, and when it is like half on/half off, it will blink really fast.

My 2000 did exactly the same thing this weekend, replaced the hazard switch/flasher assy(for $50) and did not correct it. Found fuse holder loose. Pulled the fuse and twisted the legs a little to get good contact. If you think you need a flasher, I now have a spare and will give it to you.

Is it a hazard switch that you have? If so how much for it?
