SL/ION swap

I have heard only tales of this being possible, but can an ION engine be put under an SL hood?

i've never seen it done, feel free to try. and if it doesn't fit under the hood, then change the shape of the hood (cowl induction-style)

or if we want to go off the wall here, keep the 1.9L under the hood, put the ecotec in the back driving the rear wheels.
