The fastest i've gone is 125 but just to wussy to push any more... that and my friends grand prix GT's limiter kicked in so I felt bad and let off so he could catch up... I believe the GS-T's top factory speed is 130

Oh yeah mine's a 96 GS-T Spyder and i've heard that if you have stickers it makes it faster along with neons!!! lol

in the 98 gsx I think that the top speed is 140 or near that

yeah men with stickers you can run faster and stronger than a Viper :)

got my shitbox 98gs up to like 110 after that my car vibrates cuz my tires are pretty worn,and its a gs so i dont think it has much more,but i dont know for sure

Got my Talon ESi up to 120-125....near and after 100, it shakes and rattles like crazy. All this of course with messed up tires and a bearing almost broken. Now with the bearing replaced and still messed up tires, I doubt it be better

my old turbo laser went up to 125. the GST i got right now has no speedometer but , i smoked a lexus 300is and i went up to 5500 rpm's in 5th gear. if someone knows how fast that was...

I had mine up to around 138 or so. But I think my speedo runs about 5mph high. That's when I hit the governor! I thought I blew up the car, the damn thing wouldn't let me accelerate any more until I dropped below about 130. Scared the shit out of me!

With my 97 GS-T, I have hit 140mph on the speedo, Governor kicked in...felt like I hit a damn brick wall, I was at 6300rpm when I hit that speed. I know what people are going to say....the GS-T governor kicks in @ 130mph (because of the H-rated tires, and mitsu trying to avoid lawsuits) But all I can say is I have seen my speedo at 140mph.

I have a stretch of highway that has a sod farm on both sides, nice and wide open.

When I used to run my Talon on the street I used to regularly run it on that road WELL past the indicated 140 mark. Back when it was bone stock it struggled but made it to slightly past the 140 mark.

I've had my new 01 SS on that highway well past the indicated 150 mark, I think it's governed at 165. It felt very stable and was handling quite good.

Mine at 125 was pretty damn smooth as for tires to ground and the engine sounded smooth but the conv. top was rustlin pretty good. I have no complaints

After balancing my tires one day, I got the talon to 135mph before letting off. Probably could have gone a little faster, but I wasn't setting any records. Since then, I have more boost and exhaust, so add a little more. I have no plans to do it again. Car isn't aligned and running on a bent rim, with warped rotors. Maybe later :)

between my house and my shop there is a nice straight away and i regularly bounce off the governer... thinkin about taking it out but thats just way too much work! :biggrin:

In my GS-T, with my brother drivin we did 153, just ran out of horsepower but still had plenty to go on the rpm scale, scary as shit! Fastest i have ever driven was 135 in a 86 Iroc Z28 Camaro

Took my 92 eclipse rs to 106 alot of times damn limiter wouldnt let me go any faster just got done takin my 94 talon tsi out to see how fast she would run got it up to about 133 or so on the highway seemed like i still had some left to go but almost missed my exit tryin to slow down :iceslolan

i try the other day with my stock 98 esi it goes 110 but with the stock tires it's like drive gelatin, pretty scary but it had a little more to go

hit my gs up 110 then i wussied out didnt want to break anything.

I caught a beautiful downhill straightaway on the highway and hit 140 in my gs. I don't have a limiter though. I also don't plan on going that fast again.

A friend of mine out ran the cops in his eclipse. He has some nice mods but nothing really big... anyhow he was doing over 160.

hehe-i held 135-138 for about 15mins. on the highway in my '90 n/t 2.0 laser. traffic has a way of coming up kinda quik at that speed. that's the fastest, but i go 100-110 every morning to work on the local roads. what's the big deal with going fast? everyone sounds so afraid of speed. if you're a good driver, why not?. you guys should try the 130 in traffic thing, it's alot of fun.

why is 160+ so hard to believe? i don't have any doubt that it can be done, or that this kid did it while running the cops. i've outrun the cops, and after you do it, you realize that it's some of the best driving you've ever done. a modded 2G can go like that, he must just be a better driver than all the "haters" out therewho say it can't be done.

We don't have helicopters out here and a guy ran from the cops in his orange Eclipse GS-Turbo (hahn racecraft stage 2 setup) did over 130, but he's got the only orange car in town so they picked him up the next morning

BTW he lost the race they caught him in the middle of and the winner pulled over, they never got the winner

If you think about it why is 160 anymore dangerous than 100 or 120? At those speeds if you wreck your odds of living are just as thin... It is possble to live though... I was watching an episode of worlds scariest police chases where an Convertable Vette was doing 160 with cop on his tail... he tried to merge onto a highway and swerved to miss another car... he lost control spun of the highway, rolled the car and was ejected... the guy lands on his feet and continued to run. Now the odds of anyone EVER having that luck again is impossible. But doing over 100 your pretty much gone if you mess up... so getting the balls to do 160 isnt that hard if youve got them to do 100+

i remember puttin up a vid of a DSM goin past the 160 MPH line. Jus search up in this forum and you'll find it, but i dont know if it'll work. BUT my cousin's Talon TSi AWD went 130 somethin, and i was in it the whole way.

It's all about power... the fastest DSMs run almost 170mph in the quarter mile, so if you convinced them to go faster, which you won't see happening, there is no telling how fast they will go.
