Hi, We Have A 99 Ford Windstar That Started Out Stalling While Driving The Vehicle At About 45 Mph. We Took It To Two Dealerships After The Check Engine Light Came On. It Gave Us A Solenoid B Malfunction Code And The Mechanic Told Us It Was A Bogus Code And To Keep Driving It Until Something Goes Out.
Well Recently When You Give It Gas It Will Jerk And Then Die. It Will Immediately Restart Every Time. When Idling It Will Surge Up And Down. We Got The Codes From Autozone And It Read Intake Air Temperature Circuit Low Imput, And Intake Air Temperature Ciracuit High Imput. If Anyone Knows What Could Be The Problem Please Let Me Know
Thanks

P0112 - Intake Air Temperature Circuit Low Input
P0113 - Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input
Not too many causes for these errors, either its the harness connection or the IAT sensor. Maybe someone else knows for sure, but the info I see from Ford indicates that the IAT sensor is integrated with the MAF sensor in your Windstar, so I'm not sure if you can replace just the IAT or the entire MAF unit. Looks like you can, check with Ford to find out for sure.
Also the MAF can be cleaned very carefully with electrical contact cleaner, not sure if the IAT can be cleaned that way as well.
