I think there may be something wrong with the sensor for the external temperature on the Digital Console in my 2000 Impala LS. The temperature seems to always be about 30 degrees lower than it actually is. Is this a known problem and if it is known is there a quick fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem. I was wondering if there is any way to calibrate the unit. Mine goes from temperatures that are belivable (like 107) to like 79 degrees... I know it's not 79 degrees. I live in phoenix and its July.......

I looked through the manual and there doesnt seem to be anyway of doing it. But at least i am not the only one having the problem.

Just to let everyone know. We had this problem on our '00 LS we replaced the sensor for like $7 and fixed the problem...

I have this problem now. it will not read temps above like 73 degrees. 90% of the time it reads 0 degrees. I bought the sensor 2 days ago (will post part number later when I get home) and am going to replace it tomorrow. Will let you know how it works out
