Blown Head Gasket?

Bluish white smoke is blowing out my 91 Civic exhaust. My Radiator coolant is constantly getting low and my car is overheating. I've been told that my head gasket may be blown. I was also told that if the head gasket is blown than the header might be warped. Would it be a good idea to just put a new gasket on and see what happens or buy a new header and gasket at the same time just to be safe.

..header may be warped? I think you may have miss understood.. I think they probably said head....and really, I think this is only true if you really overheated your car b/c of the blown gasket... somebody correct me if I'm wrong..

yeah i think they said head...and you didnt over heat your car till it stalled or ran like compleat shit did you..if not just get a new gasket...make sure its the head gasket and the rad ..make sure its not leaking somewhere ... cars with high miles smoke blewish white ...that is worn rings. its normal to smoke a little (and get worse as revs go up). check some hoses and look for puddles under the car... :2cents:

blown headgasket....you might want to resurface the head before new head gasket install.

If you put cold water in you Radiator after your car over heated and your engine was not running, that will cause the head to warp. Among other things.. :)
