yes. but on using the a6 alternator, as the a6 and y7 have different number of ribs on their alternator belt.

wait a sec... if you have a Y7 block and it already has the crank pulley, you can use it as it is.. the Y7 has more ribs on the alternator belt, as long as you use an OBD0 alternator, you can just use the skinnier d16a6 alternator belt and dont use one rib of the pulley.. thats what i did on my Y7/Z6 mini

right but the a6 alternator belt is too short and does not line up right. I wonder if a z6 one will work? which one did you use

oh i remember now.. I used a Y7 or Z6 belt (i found it laying in a pile of used belts :P ) and i cut a rib off the belt itself with a utility knife.

OBD0 skinny pulley alternator. i still have the y7 pulley on my block.
