I got them and they work pretty good for the money. They squeak a little bit, but only at full stop and not all the time. Also, I didn't replace my rotors (cross-drilled) but if you do that they'll probably work better and might not squeak.

Or here's an idea...don't street race, you won't have to slam your brakes on worrying about people jumping out or a car swerving or something on a race.

Brembo>axxis>stock

90civicracer

Go ahead and go fast, take it to a track and go fast or something. There are places to go fast and not put innocent person at risk of you going 100+mph racing some dude.

i would love to but there are not fun tracks here we have a round track or the 1/4 mile track i like autocross and street tracks my little town dont know anything good soo in till than. what i do right now is go out of town where there less people and more open roads i try not to race int he middle of town.

yeah street racing outside the middle of the town is safe... oh wait, that is where a good friend of mine and her husband almost got killed b/c some street racers hit their car. they were the lucky ones b/c they were in the back. their best friends (another couple) were in the front, the wife was critically injured like both in the back but her husband was killed. so before you say its safer, stop and ask someone who knows someone who was killed.

ok well im getting the hawk hp+ brakes and speeding out of town is more safer

first off, its safer, not more safer, thats like saying saferer.

speeding out of town may be safer but its still not safe. I just pray for those around you that you don't drive as ignorant as you seem online.

:werd: Thats the reason a lot of people diss on Honda's (more specifically, the people that drive like jackasses) cuz there are dumbshits who say "i think my cars fast, im gonna speed." I dont' give a shit if u speed or race, cuz I'm not around u...but I'm with JayeSIye when I say I hope u dont get in an accident and injure SOMEONE ELSE.

Honestly...I normally don't. I have a few times, but that was like right after I got my liscense and was a dumbshit and got a ticket over a year ago.

Personally I street race almost every weekend and I have not once come close to an accident or have indangered someone's life other than the normal circumstances that exsist with ANY kind of racing.

I do feel that if you streetrace like an asshole or even drive like one you should be smacked. If theres any reason you need to SLAM on your breaks during a race other than seing a cop or a deer run's out in the street than there is no need for it.

I only race if there is clear road infront and behind me. If car's are behind me and someone want's to race ill turn around and try to get him to follow on a clear strip, 1 I dont know if there is a cop behind us at all. 2 there could be some jackass who want's to make it a three way race on a 2 lane road and try something stupid. Be smart if you race. take everything into consideration. Now I race alot and not once have I been caught or pulled over for driving like an asshole ever since I have been driving. I have taken up to 30 minutes turning around here and there or waiting for clear road to race someone and if I cant get a race off then fuck it im not gonna put myself or anyone in an unsafe situation.

I agree streetracing is dangerous but it can be more safe if you take alot of things into consideration and be careful. I feel the pain of civicracer and jay and I understand where they come from but I also street race and I honestly will not endanger anyone to get a race off on public street's if it cant be done im not gonna race and if I have to get a loss than so be it. You should think about it the next time your about to race. I dont think you should buy good brakes so they will be good to slam on them because that's not even safe to begin with. If you streetrace right there is no need to stomp on anything and you should have more than enough time to slow down normally if you took precausion's.

I agree ^^ but people aren't too bright. Here's a story I've been wanting to get out in the open anyway. I was driving with my wife through our little town about a month ago and traffic was at a snail's pace. I wasn't weaving in and out constantly but the light turned green and I saw a nice hole to get around a truck and back in the right lane again (cuz my turn about 1/2 mile up was on right). But some dumb shit in a miata thought I was racing cuz I was still in second when I changed lanes. So he speeds up and a Thunderbird pulls out of a gas station up in front of me. I'm like "oh shit" and my wife was gasping. The asshole in the miata gassed it and I shifted to third, but nice tight Si gearing kept me up in the rpms (BTW... the shifting to third and miata gunning it was simultaneous with the T-bird pulling out up ahead) so I tried to get over again cuz I was definitely in front of the miata. Well, I did, but I had to cut that asshole off in the miata to do it so I wouldn't slam on the brakes to avoid rear-ending that slow ass T-bird. Needless to say, my wife was pissed, the people in the T-bird were shocked and the miata backed off entirely. I thought I had it all the way even though I wasn't really racing (I was only going up the street to a restaurant anyway) but my wife says the miata backed off and let me in. Either way, I still feel like an ass and a lesson has been learned. DON'T FUCKING RACE IN TOWN... or even rev your engine around somebody else with a sports car cuz chances are that person will race and put others in danger and may cause you to act in a way in which you may not be able to control the outcome. I'm so glad I'm more into rally and drifting at like speeds of 30-40mph on roads people never even use. Just my :2cents:

Thats cool...I mean at least u know when u race, you are smart enough not to be stupid about it and put other people at risk, and I respect that. Not trying to be a dick or anything, but i feel if its 2 people going out to race and there is nobody around and they're being smart about it (not in traffic, city, etc.) they know the risks, and there's a great chance that the only thing that would happen would be to either of u two.

I personally haven't had any tragedies or known anyone street racing...but its stupid comments like "why have a fast car if u dont race" that just kinda piss me off.

ok every one here toke me wrong

im with civicHBsi91 i take everything in and not race in a city full of people or put other in un safe places

i was just asking about good breaks just soo if i have to use them i well have good breaks to stop me in time.

any thing can happen win your speeding and i like to just take eveything in to make it as safe as it can be.

The safest way to avoid something happening when your speeding, is to not speed.
