1995 Window Tracking

Our window wasn't working on the driver side. We took the door a part and part of the tracking had broken off. The part was riveted on. Do you think JV welding would work to hold that back together?

Once we got the track back on the window worked again but the track is only sitting in the door frame and can be knocked lose with a slam of the door.
