I have been looking at this like it was a slipped timing chain, but as I tried to put a timing light on it, I could not get a trigger. I then checked other plug wires to see if my timing gun worked. I found that the wires on the passenger side of the electronic distributer were not triggiering my timming light. The Driver side would. I am curious as to what you guys think this means.
Could a car run on 3 of the 6 cylinders?
Could half the coil assembly die, or is it more likely the device that controls the coil assembly is faulty?
This is on a 3.8L engine in a 95 LX version van.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated
