SRT-4 vs Focus SVT.

Ok i own a SRT-4 and every time these little SVT Focus 181 HP stock come up to me and rev there little exhaust. It just pisses me off because they never race and they dont know what the hell the srt-4 is all about. Can some one please help us out on this so the svt knows who would win the battle.

SRT4 by a mile. . . those SVT focuses run low 15's stock 1320.

Ya myabe I should print this out and post it on my srt-4s back windshield so when they come up and rev there little engine i can laugh and so can they. (Laugh at there selfs for even thinking they have a chance.) THIS GOES OUT TO ALL THEM FOCUS SVT'S THAT REV THERE LITTLE ENGINES AND AT ME. ALL LONG WITH YOUR CONTOUR SVT'S.

Someone need's to turbo a SVT Focus or Contour and show this guy who really win's..

they got superchargers for the contour.

I know them contours are pretty phat but they only have 190HOP stock SRT'S COME WITH 230-250 stock so the srt will get it but its a pretty nice car. I live in michigan mr. boost.

What is your point? They want to see your car in action. and I'm 100% sure that you could beat them, as are you; so stop complaining.

and needless to mention the pooper on a srt4 is much more exciting then a normally aspirated focus engine ... and if any person heaven forbid had common sense that a 4 banger engine can't sound that damn howly unless it is turbo'd to begin with!

Contour SVT's have 205 stock HP, I know, I use to own a 99' SVT. I never said a STOCK one could hang with a SRT-4, Considering the SVT only run's low 15. But add a turbocharger or supercharger onto it and you have a car that will take down an SRT-4 for sure.

Hmm, pointing and laughing is a good idea. By the way, the SVT Focus comes stock with 170 hp, not 181.

What my friend does when dumbasses rev at his Evo, is gets out a 20 dollar bill, holds it up, and taps it to his mouth. Works pretty nicely, since they know they can't beat him :P

i find myself laughing when i see an SRT-4 revving on me but i drive off happy.. but if a damn Focus anything comes revving on me, ill hand his ass to him just because he is some idiot who thinks SVT actually means their car is fast.

the only ford i will ever give credit to is a decently modded GT and a clean looking Cobra... well i take that back, if someone has the nutz/money to supercharge a Contour, i gotta show them love because that is just awesome :smile: :smile:

I know my car isnt really expensive either, but the Z24 package really puts the car into a diff class from other cavaliers. Just like the SRT-4 puts the neon into a diff class. But in the end its still just a neon or a cavalier.

Lol thanks guys for the help. I know my car is just a neon But who gives a fuck when the car cost 23.5g's out the door running with GT mustangs that cost almost 30g's. I was about to get an EVO but i decided not too. I know they are faster then the srt-4 but i didnt like the price tag for what it came with. Before you know it they are gona have a AWD car out with 320hp and only cost 20-25g's like the srt-4. Anways. I consider my self a diffrent class from a neon because what makes the cars name is what makes it move. Which is the engine. I have no engine parts even close to a neon. WOW it has the same body frame.. So your calling and EVO just a lancer. Or are you calling a salene and cobra just a little mustang. Who cares it uses the same frame and body work but no0t the same engine. So take that thought out your mind.!

Hey man, it's all your preference. The evo will treat you better in the snow and other bad conditions, but it's your money. Stick with it :)

To go back to the original topic, I saw a SRT-4 run a Focus today. The focus broke down at 1/8mile. It was pretty FUBARed when I went past. So I say the SRT will win.

i think a svt focus runs mid to high 15's and srt-4 vary from 14.2-13.6 i guess :rolleyes:

Smoke em. Just becareful, cause not all civics are ricers, or focuses, there are still alot of people that could run an svt sleeper and have a beast for an engine and crush you. So best advice is to ignore or run it and hope you win.

I've heard of low 15's from a SVT Focus with a good enough driver, Weather or not it's true is beyond me, Best I've seen from one in person was 15.5.

I dont think so not when it comes to corvettes. You have the base model and than the super model.

a stock base model corvette is the same speed as the z28/ss camaro. even though its still pretty fast, its a shitty base model just like the rest of em.

the only vettes that i cant win against are some z06's, and all the liegenfighter(spelling?) vettes.

anyone in a stock z28/ss can take out a vette if they have decent driving skills
