2001 Impala A/C prob, not the resistor thing...

I have a 2000 Impala LS, and the a/c is acting funny. When the car is idleing its fine. When you drive down the road the a/c on the drivers side gets warmer, while the passenger side stay ice cold. As soon as you idle again it returns to full cold, just like the passenger side. It seems that a vacuum controlled door or flap is leaking, and only stays in the cold position when it has full engine vacuum (idle conditions)- changing it to a warmer postion when under acceleration.
Does anyone else have this problem? Can anyone send me a schematic or diagram of the under dash unit so I can figure out where to start looking? Thanks, Email any info to [email protected]
