You're surely not the only one waiting for the new Fujimi Murcielago! But sorry, no info....
I have to say I disagree with you concerning the Carrera GT: the pics avaible on the Tamiya site just show a prototyp, unpainted, and glued together to test fit, and tease!... and it already looks far better than many other company's kits! And the chassis sprue is as impressive as the Enzo one! The real car is a better piece of the art than the Enzo, the Tamiya kit will be the same! :D
Compared to this excellence, I wonder how the Murci will look like!... But if it has an engine, or openable doors, I'll forgive any shortcoming!
I hope the front and rear grids will be rendered well! That's quite a challenge for a manufacturer, I feel.

Adding an avatar! Just clic on User CP (top right of the screen, under the AF 350Z project car), then on the new page opened, click on avatar, then give the url of the pic (100/100 pixels max) you want to use. Easy.
It's the same if you want to add a text, or a banner (like mine) under your posts: clic then on signature.

Sup Jaimenew, I only have two finished Lambo's, this will be my third one (Murcielago) to do ever. The following pictures are of the fujimi 1/16 I did that didn't exactly come out like I expected. There were alot of fit problems so I am hoping the 1/24 scale won't have them like the 1/16 did. I probably will never buy another big scale from fujimi. I am currently working on a Tamiya 1/12 William Renault to which I will say the fit, detail, kit in itself if fantastic.

You have done alot of good looking work man. I haven't done to much, a few here and there. I used to have a 70 car collection of 1/18 scale diecast, but I sold them to get started in plastic car modeling. Do a search on my name for all the threads I started so you can see some of my work. I am still up and coming, unlike most of these guys here who are phenominal.

I put up a page on my site last week with some basic info on the Murcielago. Despite the announced July 2004 release it's probably going to be out late this year. Here's the link:

 Man this is the first I've heard of a newer Murcielago kit from any plastic model maker. I've been waiting for such news for far too long. BUT I'M HAPPY NOW!!! All I can say is that I hope it is worth the long wait. I just don't understand why no one has kitted this car in plastic yet. I thought Tamiya would be all over it when the new Lambo came out. Does anyone know if it will have engine detail? Mid engined curbside kits kinda suck because the engine is quite visible from below on most mid-engined cars. Drives me nuts. :banghead:

I've been so depressed ever since July 16 when it was supposed to be released.. :icon16:
Looks decent, of course like any Fujimi kit the wheels/tires look like they need some work for the car to sit right. Hope Cobra Colors comes through w/paint soon! Mine has to be that pistachio green pearl color.

Nice news! The kit looks more than decent: the shape looks accurate, the wheels look the right size, and it doesn't need lowering. ++: the rear radiator flaps seem to be able to be displayed in "high" position with a little work...
The only question is about the intake and outake grids: in reality they're quite thin, like the Carrera GT hood ones, and I hope Fujimi didn't choose to omit them... It seems they're represented by clear parts (look at the sprues). I wonder why...
At first look I would give it a 7/10... :D
And the always-insatisfied-modelers-club says: can we hope now racing versions, and the magnificent roadster?...

I just looked at the detail pictures on the Fujimi website. The wheels look awful! I deeply hope its a pre production picture. The wheels merely fit into the chassis, way to small. We´ll see, whether Fujimi is up to produce a real raging bull!

I'm not sure I agree...
Looking at the pics doesn't permit to say if they're good or not. Maybe they're just a little too small, but that's maybe because they're not oversized, as the Tamiya ones. Chromed brakes may be good for beginners. Overall this kit looks so nice!

I don´t know, whether to agree or to oppose. But, honestly, the wheels look lost in that chassis. Putting the real one next to the kit, shows you how much the wheels look outta place.
But again, hopefully the preview kit doesn´t look like the ones in production, but one the other side... the Lamborghini Diablo kitsgot killed by the wheels as well. Let´s go aftermarket....

I'm with Vric. Though some of Fujimi's newer wheels are becoming more accurate, but the problem that still plagues most of them is the width. They are way too narrow. While that can be overlooked on some cars, the 18"x13" rears of the Murcielago have to be authentic to keep the overall aggressive appearance of the car.
Hard to tell from the small pics, while the overall wheel design looks accurate, it looks like the tire profile is a bit too big. They don't like like 30/35 series tires. Nor do the rears look to be 13" wide.
Mixed feelings on this kit. Hopefully someone will post a review on the kit since it's now released. Quell all our doubts.

Probably the wheel finish and perhaps the colour of the plastic the body is made of. Maybe cf-ish decals (which in Fujimi's case most likely means just semigloss black decals). There shouldn't be many, and, on a personal level, the 40th ann. edition colour is the leat of my favourite Murcie colours.
And you're wrong, the title of the most beautiful car in the world is shared between 250 SWB and Miura :p

And for the rims, I think I found out a very cheap source for aftermarket ones - The maisto diecast kit comes with two pair of rims, both stocks, in 24th scale, there still is hope!

I think Ales said that it was his least favorite color on the Murcie; I would agree w/that statement...it's a gorgeous color, but I've seen the 1:1 color combo and it simply doesn't look right to me on this car. It needs to be a loud color like yellow/orange/lime green or in a simple color like black, white, or shades of silver/gray.
I agree about the Maisto diecast option, I've had that kit for a long time and have always thought this might happen...they're the correct size for the Maisto model, so they might be just what this kit needs...tho I think the photos of the Fujimi model show that careful placement of the wheels inside the body (correcting the front track and lowering the ride height in the rear) might work as well.
I'll know soon enough...mine's been shipped. :)

Sorry, but what about the 1984 Ferrari 288 GTO??? That´s a real beauty as well, but I agree on your most beautiful car choices.
Another problem with the kit is that there´s no engine. Can you imagine a Lamborghini without an engine. So we all have to wait for an aftermarket production of the engine as it happened with the 917K. But to be honest, I think it´s a shame to produce curbside kits of cars, which actually would only be half amazing without their engine (Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.) So maybe Fujimi should think about giving their Enthusiast Series another shot. Those models were really accurate and had nice engine detail!!!
I´m really excited about the outcome of the Lambo, so I look really forward to the first finished Murcielago on automotiveforums.com.

Lamborghini murcielago 40TH ANNIVERSARY MODEL
is available on HLJ, 1999 and Hobbyworld.
The plastic color looks great,
If I apply a Tamiya clear coat on this model it will looks good ?
