First before you do anything, talk with your parents to get their feedback.

This situation is more complex, than just throwing him out. It sounds that this guy has issues, far beyond, control. The gun being introduced into the eqation,<spelled wrong> is more than a sign of suicidal tendencies.

I would definately 100% go to the police station and ask to speak with a detective in private! Explain the situation. The police wont beable to do anything about the abuse, """ UNLESS""" SHE acknowledges this in front of an officer, but NOW that a WEAPON has been introduced and threats have been made, they will have just cause to involve themselves.

I have been in the same situation in the past and it is complicated when FEAR overtakes one's life.

Talk with her parents after you speak with a detective and let them know the whole situation, along with what you are trying to do.

Explain to the detective, that before anything is done, you would like to have the parents present as well. THIS WILL BE VITAL FOR A SUPPORTY SYSTEM, when everything happens...

But sounds like your on the right track.. but Police are very funny in the way they act... unless they catch the guy in the act of something, it's hard for them to keep him locked up. If they stop in and he's not around things could also get out of hand.... they won't wait for him and if he finds out, he could get even more violent. I'd have the police informed and ready to show up when you can give them a call and make sure he's home when they show up. Good luck.
