'95 SC1 getting too hot

I've changed the ECTS and thermostat. I ran a direct wire to the fan to check it, it runs...I pulled the radiator, flushed it out really good. What else can be checked to get this car back to being cool....

It used to run around 1/4 on the guage, now it's rarely below 1/2 and in traffic, it's up to 3/4 or higher....the a/c is working hard and not blowing out cold air like it used to, but I think that has more to do with the engine being hotter than the a/c going out....

any suggestions what else to try?

The fan does not run at all....When I turn the A/C on, it doesn't move. The relay is fine, as is the fuse. My PCM is reporting error code 15, which means it's getting a low temperature reading, but the temp guage in the car is at 3/4.

Bad wire somewhere? Any thoughts?

loose wire somewhere is a possiblty. use a voltmeter to test the wire to the ECT (sorry i can't help more on what to look for, my wiring diagram shows the old ECT setup). and since the A/C is not cold and the fan doesn't come on i wouldn't be surprized if you a loose wire also somewhere in the HVAC panel.stupid question, the A/C light does come on right? anyway, i say also test voltage to the fan and A/C compresure ( it may be easier to first test the relays terminals) with the engine running and A/C on(i don't think test will work with the engine off). also double test ALL the fuses (they have a weird way of working together, I.E. if your saturn's radio doesn't work, check the CHIME fuse)

also, ask over at saturnfans.com

Maybe this helps.... I was getting error code 15 also in my vehicle after swapping a 96 motor into a 94 chassis. The problem was created when I spliced the two temperature sensor leads together to accomodate the newer engine only having one sensor. This caused too much resistance in the system and the computer saw that as coolant being too cold. Check your connections for corrosion and/or replace the lower sensor. As a result of the computer thinking the car was cold, it would flood itself out when hot because it was trying to "cold start" a hot engine.
