noise in intake

Hi, im looking to buy a 2000 se, it has 87000 and a noise in the intake that starts at about 1300 rpm to1600 rpm. not at idle and not above 1800 rpm , i can hold it at about 1400 and it is loud,it also sounds loud when i stethescope on oil drain plug. doesnt sound roddy, ive heard about a baffle in the intake. please help, thanks , lacy
