Fuel Filter

Hello,
Went to replace the fuel filter and there is an 'odd' connection on the Out side. There is no need for the retaining clip; it looks as if it's some sort of 'push-on' that automatically retains itself when on. I haven't seen this before. Has anyone seen this, how do I remove it and can it be re-used?
Thanks in advance,
Cherkey

You need an A/C Fuel Line disconnect tool. This is what I'm talking about:

Thanks! That looks about right. So the connector is re-useable then?

Yes. You slip the disconnect tool over the fuel line, slide it towards the fuel filter (once all of the fuel pressure is relieved from the lines) to remove the filter from the line. The new filter will click into place.
