Can you perform a clutch adjustment on a '98 Saturn SL? If so, would it be possible that someone could give me the procedure?

Is it normal that you can't shift into gears occasionally like depending on whether your on unlevel terrain, such as a hill or shit like that? Also, not too long ago, it was like raining out and I like could not get it into gear.. I seriously had to put like all my strength into it... Thought I was going to break the fucker... Anyone?

Hydraulic clutch master or slave cylinder may be going bad. Is it hard to move the shifter or hard to push the pedal? Can you double clutch and make it easier?

how many miles are on you car?
is there any fluid in your clutch master cylinder?
if you have more than say 80k on your car and your having shifting problems, you should probably just replace the clutch and hydraulics.but then, if there is a leak in your hydraulic system you might want to just start with that.

thanks the clutch hyd cylinder had no fluid in it so i guess i have a leak but see no fluid anywhere and the car now shifts fine after adding fluid..little sticky but fine none the less.. we will see what happens in the future and if i experience the same problem i guess i should start looking for the leak or replace the clutch master cyclider right?

i would defenitley replace the master/slave cylinder. on saturns it is all 1 unit. if you get the factory one its already full of fluid and bled. i dont know whats available aftermarket.
