Weird Problem...Read please

OK guys and girls... My CRX just started doing the weirdest thing. Sometimes I get in and turn the key and it cranks and cranks and just won't kick over. Then, if I push it or let it roll a little bit, it will start. Could this be something wrong with my fuel pump? It almost seems like the fuel pump is not getting fuel until I let the car move so the gas splashes around a little or something stupid like that. Any ideas? Anyone had this happen ever? I appreciate all your help!!

Have you checked for spark? Is it the starter? Maybe a sensor problem... Do you get a CEL?

So you're not bump starting it, you're just letting it roll a few feet and then trying to start it? weird...

Unless the car is in gear while it's rolling, it wouldn't spin the crankshaft or anything, so I don't understand why that would allow the car to start.

The starter turns over fine, and I am getting spark, cuz it will eventually start, and I am getting no CEL, so I don't think it could be a sensor problem. No, I'm not using the clutch to start it, just sorta letting it coast a few feet then stepping on the brakes. The only thing I can come up with is that it's a fuel delivery issue, where the fuel is not getting picked up by the fuel pump or something. IDK, it's real weird to me too.

fill up your tank and try and start it, and then it will eliminate that possiblity

So the car isnt in gear when you roll it?

fuel filter???
like someone said before fill it right up with fuel, when was it last serviced, oil filters etc ?
