Are you talking about Matt or Bill? We need to set things clear. I have never seen Matt post anything negative. I think he was making a valid point as well.
Sorry to get OT again.

Well well well well well....
There could be something like:
-1 car
-1 truck
-1 bike.
Build it the way you want, but the car must be an Austin Mini, the truck a Ford F150, the bike a Honda NSR.
Just an example...
And if it remains imposssible to content most people here, so let's try something different - and cheap! - and find a good old 1/72 or 1/48 Revell Airplane kit! And to make the contest look like a real "car contest", we'd choose the Mustang model!!!!!! (great looking airplane, by the way!)
I must say I found the custom contest very nice, even if I didn't manage to finish my model in time! I hope it will be proposed again next year! And that truck and bikes and bicycles and other wheeled machines modelers would enter it!
And for those who can't even think of ever touching putty, I propose a wonderfull "OOB* crappy kit contest"!!! (* Out Of the Box). The challenge would be to build one of the most inaccurate model the best way without using anything than what's in the box (sprues, bags, papers, box)...
But for our eye's pleasure, we could simply use the Hasegawa Lamborghini Miura!... (more than a car: a design masterpiece!)
To those who will propose the Cox*: I'm in!!!!!!!!!!
(*VW original beetle, for extraterrestrial AF members!)

we could select several cars to satisfy a wider range of builders. i think it would be nice to see what everyone can make out of a datsun 510.
