I just purchased a 2001 LS Premium Sable with the digital A/C controls and the automatic climate control. The only problem I have with the car is the audio system. It isn't exactly up to par with what I would like to have. The problem is I can't figure out how I am going to buy an aftermarket system and install it with the digital A/C controls and auto climate control. I searched the internet high and low for any options I may have but nothing. I found the template for the Sables with the rotary knob, manually controlled A/C elements however. Would I be able to use this in my Sable? At the expense of my auto climate features? I'd love to keep that if possible but the stereo is more important than the auto A/C. Please if I have any options let me know. I'm going nuts here.
Thanks!
P.S. Here is the link to the stereo install kit I had found. Will this work in my Sable???

Your in the same boat I am. The Digital A/C / Factory Radio setup is NOT replaceable. If you have a CD button on your Radio and it say "NO DJ" on the display when you push it you can add a CD Changer to the trunk, if your don't alreay have one in-dash. That's about it.
Check out crutchfield.com for details. They sell OEM and Kenwood changers that plug and play.
There were a couple years they used this type of Radio and screwed the consumer, if I had know before hand I would have bought another car!!! It's one of the few things I hate about Fords, there Radio's suck!
Good luck.

Is there any way to hook up an amp to this crap? That would be just fine. If I can upgrade the speakers, add an amp and some subs myself, even with this stock crap, that would be cool. I was also thinkin of askin ford to put in one of their mach systems. They are more than enough for my taste. But they might also be way overpriced.
