Normally Supras go to singles, while GTRs have straight swaps with the 2510s, 2530s, 2540s, GT-SS, and the GT-RS....how much easier can that be?

If I was to guess, it would be 114. 108 would not work, that is more for a N/A engine. Turbos normally run a lot higher lob sep.

Well it all depends superchargers are more constant which can be helpfull but the turbo is like an ACE:iceslolan U can inject a high powerboost that will really make ur oppent think as he watching u pass by + get ur veins pumpin:biggrin:. Personally I prefer a turbos cause u get the rush!!

there were pics of a twin charged (2 turbos, one roots blower) rb26, but that was on a stand, and wouldn't fit into a car...

There was a fad here with the N/A Skylines trying a small side mounted s/c's. They were electric instead of belt driven. The main problem was they would only produce boost to about 6,000 rpms then run out, plus you could only keep it running for about 25 seconds at most before it shut down. Expensive and not very good results overall.

there's a site that sells the ogura supercharger, they have said that somebody has put two of those ogura superchargers on an rb26, tho i dont know if it is true. this pic has one.

Doesn't that seem like kind of a sharp bend for that air to be making coming from out of the supercharger? (the 90 degree one)
and also.... where does the air go into that supercharger? In the back of it? I don't see any intake and It doesn't seem like that thing can breath too well.

Most Mustang put out well over 500hp with a 90* bend from there VORTECHs.

In reply to your question/statement I think many cars are bastardized. This becomes a personal opinion though. While I've always made it clear I've never been a fan of honda's with the exception of the NSX, they seem to cop it worse than any other model. Of course as should really mention is I'm not into showy bling bling for a road car either or performance car. Actually I'm not into show cars period as I "personally" think they are a pure waste of money.

As far as the Skyline being over hyped well that would have been covered quite well, and YES they are. In saying that though it depends on how you look at it and how the "in question statement" is provided. Overhyped by those who don't know isn't the biggest problem, cracked on by those who don't is.

Honestly the only cars that are really blown out of proportion are Ferrari now a days there just not the same :rolleyes:. All I can say is CARS dont blow themselves out of proportion its the movies fault.

I also think lil Slim was tryin to say is the skyline over shadows alot of other cars (imports). Worst over shadowment is is ferrari stratedale over a Noble M12 GTO.

It is soooooooooo true on how hollywood can and does over dramatize a particular model. Fast and Furious is only the latest but one only has to look at previous movies and or series to see it. Take "The Dukes of Hazard" as example. The Charger was the talk for years. In all honesty the Charger is a good car but hardly Dodge's top car when compared to the Challanger, and GTX.

I wouldn't say it is all hollywood's fault though as it takes gullable people to belive what they see as "gosple" or truth.

There will also always be those who like to compare this model against that model. Again that is human nature, to express themselves and their opinions and thoughts.

As far as experts go though, there are hardly any "experts" in the States on JDM cars. Oh there will be the self proclaimed, such as MotoRex, RBMotoring but in all honesty how many years have they spent with these cars as compared to those who have since the inception of each model. One only has to look at the top tuners and modifiers in Japan such as HKS, Top Secret, Mines, Veilside, Jun, Signal, etc to look for the real experts. I happen to be very lucky and know personally the owner of ST-HITEC, who worked for Nissan Japan for years, and also spent quite a bit of time with Top Secret and HKS while in Japan. He's brilliant and easy to talk to and has a wealth knowledge and information to share.

I don't understand that. There's a guy on this base that has one of the meanest looking skylines here. I've got to take a picture of it so you can see it, but it looks GREAT. It's an R33, 2 door. Bayside blue with a body kit, no spoiler, custom hood... but it's a damn GTS. and it's an automatic. I don't understand the thinking behind this sort of thing.

And also, how the hell did you, an arm-chair racer and poser, get the professional clout to be able to criticise a car builder like Craig Leiberman? I read a Bio about the guy some time after F&F came out. He's been involved with the car scene in SoCal for a very long time.

I don't really think that it's fair to blame him for over-hyping cars or their capabilities. Remember that his main part in both movies was simply as a technical advisor during pre-production. Alot happens between that and the post-production edits before the movie is even released. If he's guilty of anything, it would be "selling out" to the movie industry, which honestly, can you blame him? You can't really pay for advertising like that.
