you can braze aluminum and steel together but its not going to be solid because the steel would have to be much thinner then the aluminum to melt and it still would break right off like solder what they use is most likely polished stainless

think it needs more metal added towards the the top and smoothed to more of a cure and cure=ve the bottom more

Brazing and soldering is almost the exact same thing. I took a class to become a certified welder, but never took the certification. Whey yall say "shine though paint" what exactly are yall talking about? I dont think its shining though the metal. Just some comments

I think its reflecting off of the white paint, just my theory..

no i meant they stick or somehow hold the thin alluminium to the back of the "eyebrows" not weld it on , because its only thin its not heavy anyway ,

yeah i spose, it would act as a repelant for the light so the light dooesnt shine through and also improves your headlamps beam
