As soon as I realized that I wasn't going to make the 2004 Le Mans deadline, the pressure was a bit off the boiler, so I took it slowly to continue building my models. Now the Riley & Scott is finally finished. Here is a teaser picture :

Next patient : the Lister Storm. This must be one of the hardest decals I have ever applied :) (this livery consist of 2 decals in total!)

It makes a world of difference though.

Before you get the impression never anything goes wrong around here, I'll post a few pics of bad luck modelling...

Seems like 4 out of 6 will be the final result for now. After I had this little accident with the N° 84 Porsche (I ordered a spare body),

http://www.sennake.be/moca_belg_lemans_2003/84_02.jpg

I now seem to have a small problem with the Panoz. While trying to strip the body from its paint in brake fluid, the resin doesn't seem to be resistent to the fluid either, so it "exploded". Once again I backordered a spare body. I just hope the problems at Provence Moulage won't affect my orders...

 It hurts me seing a Panoz like that!

The Lister is awesome! How many bottles of microsol did you use?

The fate of that Panoz is heartbreaking, as if the topless GT3 wasn't enough :(
At least the Lister is going together well. May all your remaining luck be good!
I love they way you've matched up pictures of the real cars with the models. Did you take those Le Mans action pics yourself?

Yes, I was lucky enough to have a press accreditation in 2003 :)

Guy,
ouch!

I know you mentioned PM's current problems. Rumor (Paul at littlecars) says they are closed for August (usual for some/most French companies) and once back in Sept. they will determine if they go into receivership...

p.s. Next time you want to remove paint from a resin model, wipe the paint off with some lacquer/paint thinner as it won't affect the hygroscopic resin...

After a month of non-modeling due to painting my woodwork around the house, I picked up modeling again, exactly on my birthday :1: I started decalling the Lister Storm, and that job is completely finished now.
