I have a 2000 impala that has this very strange problem. One day I went to go drive it and the info center, the a/c and cruise control all did not work. after driving for a little bit, everything came back on and started working again. now the info center usually works if I press one of the buttons on it, but the A/C and Cruise will not work. But, without any warning or anything, it will just magically start working again. I guess I should say that it's not just the A/C, but the entire climate control network. I've checked for fuse burnouts and shorts, have run out of ideas... Seems as the weather gets hotter (I live in Phoenix) everything seems to work more consistantly....but not always. Hopeing someone out there may have an idea or similiar experience that could help me.

I was starting to think I was the only person with this problem. I also checked the wiring and fuses. Every time I took the car to my mechanic to have it looked at, within minutes, the system would kick back on, and he would not be able to trace any problems. Did you ever find a solution?

It was the ignition switch... 400 bucks to fix... good luck with it... I understand there are a lot of problems with the ignition switches on these cars...
